Tennessee National

June has become an exceptionally busy month for us at X-Tream Clean Products. All of our racing series we sponsor are in full tilt, the TN National is in town at Muddy Creek and we always have one or two Southeast Regional events in our area during June. So, we loaded up the XTC wagon on Thursday June 4 and headed for the hills of Tennessee to Blountville, TN to take in the Tennessee National at Muddy Creek Raceway.

This is the third year for the TN National and it's also a Victory Sports Racing Mega and Ultra Series event mixed in before and after the National. Racing begins with the Mega Series on Friday, the National on Saturday and ending with Mega / Ultra Series on Sunday. Needless to say there are plenty of amateur racers taking in the weekend. It's one of very few chances to ride a fully prepped National track, with a few changes, that most riders will see.

The crew at Muddy Creek had the track in the best shape since the inception of the TN National. Deeply groomed, extra mulch and saw dust, perfect moisture content and some changes to the track that made for a more difficult ride. Many complements about the track were spoken all weekend and the crew from MX Sports and Victory Sports Racing were Johnny on the spot with track maintenance, grounds maintenance and the port-o-johns were the best I've seen, smelt.

Most participants camped all weekend, if you consider toy haulers, fancy 5th wheel trailers camping, in the back lot adjacent to the track. There were a hand full of real campers in tents and a few in moto-vans. This was our first year vending during the National weekend and with our connections to Victory Sports Racing, Sam Gammon and Jane Gammon in particular, we were lucky enough to have a great vending spot located at one of two main entrances to the track from the back lot where just about everyone would pass through.

All in all, it was a great weekend with awesome racing, perfect weather, great people to hang and talk to, some bonding time with customers we have not met in person and a great opportunity to introduce our product line to new racers. The only part that could have been better was the attendance for the National on Saturday. Not sure what may be keeping people away, but the crowd was way off from the first year of the TN National and lacked numbers even from last year's event.

We took a few photos from the weekend and you can checkout the full spread on our Photo Gallery page HERE.
